I have to say that I had a bit of a difficult time choosing the scent that I wanted, because there were quite a few! There were several scents that appealed to me, like the Almond Cherry, Goat’s Milk Citrus Twist, Oatmeal Goats Milk, Sandalwood Soother, Sea Breeze, or even Surf’s Up or Blackberry Vanilla. But in the end I chose the Lemon Coconut, because those are two of my favorite scents, especially coconut.

I have always preferred bar soap to body washes, and anything made naturally tops the list. For some reason, I don’t really care for the feeling of my skin after using body washes. I have even made my own melt and pour soaps, in the past. So I was anxious to try my bar. As a mom, shower time is the one time that I actually get a few minutes of true peace and quiet. Plus, I suppose, “old habits die-hard”, having used bar soap for as long as I can remember.

When my soap arrived in the mail, it came packaged in a neat little box, with an open window directly in the front. which is perfect for that initial whiff when opening a new bar of soap. My initial whiff offered a very clean smell, with a light hint of the lemon and coconut, because they are both fairly subtle scents. The first day that I used the soap was a day that I mowed the yard, which was a 2 1/2 to 3 hour job in 80 degree sun. It was definitely on of those days for a relaxing, cooling, scrub.

Soapy lather...

Soapy lather…

The lather from this soap was thick and creamy, exactly like a lotion minus the normal residual greasy feeling. As the lather rinsed cleanly away, it only left behind softness. It had a wonderfully subtle scent from the lemon and coconut. About the only negative that I could say about the scent was that I could smell the oil base, just a bit. The bar of soap was about 3x3x1 and square-shaped, which also made it somewhat awkward for me. Maybe more of a rectangular shaped would have fit better in my hand.

My overall opinion is that this soap was really wonderful, and I just might even order a different scent the next time I decide to treat myself. The scent was very nice and it felt refreshing on my skin. I love that it is made with all natural ingredients and it shows in the soft, nourished skin. I would absolutely recommend this soap for anyone who loves natural bath soaps.
