This week I am excited to be swapping again with April from April Noelle is Finding Favor! April’s blog her life’s journey as a wife and mom, sharing tips on finances, weight loss, and enjoying the quiet time that we as mom’s need. Be sure to check out her #RelationshipInTheRaw series and her Run Your World podcast! Stop by her site and show her some love and read her answers to the questions that I gave her!

AAF 48 April

1. You’ve known your husband for so long. What do you think was helpful about him being a friend for so long?

I honestly knew that I could trust him, and trust is a big issue. Plus, because we had both been married before we got together, we had really grown in ourselves.

2. What advice would you give someone who was about to get married?

Flexability is key to success. You are not always going to see eye to eye on things, so give and take on both of your parts is very important.

3. What has been your favorite book so far this year?

I have been lucky to read some really great ones this year…but my absolute favorite so far has been “As You Wish” by Cary Elwes. It is actually based on the adventures from the set of The Princess Bride! You can read about it here.

4. Out of your homemade products, which has been the best money saver?

I think my homemade glass cleaner, because it used ingredients that most everyone has on hand.

5. Spring break was just a few weeks ago for me. Have you had your spring break? What did you do or will you do?

Because we homeschool, the kids have been on a bit of an extended break…but we do have an upcoming vacation that we will be taking to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

6. Last time we swapped, we talked tattoos. I’m still on the fence about mine, looking for a design. How do you determine what design you use?

I always go from the heart…my first is a red rose, with a multi-color ribbon wrapped around it three times and each visible section has one of my kids’ names on it. My second is of one red fish and one blue fish (think of the Dr Seuss book), and they are formed to look like the Pisces sign, which the hubby and I got as matching tattoos for our 10th wedding anniversary…we are both Pisces. The other three small ones that I have are one for each child…a butterfly for my lil miss, a peace sign for lil man, and a music note for D-man (he also has one that matches).

7. What age did you find the most difficult?

Definitely the teen years…those years were filled with depression, insecurities, weight issues, and my dad passed away when I was thirteen. The best part of them was the struggles, though, because they made me the mom and woman that I am today.

8. Describe to me a perfect day.

Being able to relax with a good book and some good music and I am happy…now add in a massage and a tattoo and I am in heaven! LOL!

9. What’s your favorite product that you’ve had the chance to review?

I really loved the Bright Light Pillow, well my lil miss did…sadly it did not last as long as I had hoped.

10. I’ve been thinking a lot about what you need to be a good blogger. Can you give one tip for the newbie or not so new blogger who is looking to do more?

Oh definitely, make friends! The friends that I have been blessed to make, I count as some of my nearest and dearest, and we have never even met face to face yet!

Thank you so much April, for swapping with me! Don’t forget to stop by her site and read her answers to the questions that I asked her! And be sure to visit with all of the other amazing linkers from this week’s #AskAwayFriday to get to know an amazing group!
