This week I am excited to be swapping questions with a fairly new member of the #AAF Family Lysa from Welcome to My Circus! Lysa is a wife, mom of four, and “Nona” of five sharing the life experiences that have come through life as a blogger, poet, author, and former newspaper reporter. With a lifetime craziness and laughter her life is one big three ring circus! Stop by and say hello and read the questions that I asked Lysa this week!
1. If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say?
I think that I am going to have to go with my favorite phase for this one…”Carpe Diem” which means Seize the Day!
I guess for me it is kind of a live today at its fullest, because you never know what tomorrow will bring attitude.
2. If your house was on fire and you could grab only three material things before leaving, what would they be?
Oh wow, this is a hard one…I would likely grab my laptop, jewelry box, and the flag that I have from when my dad passed away…and I would make my hubby carry the very large tote of pictures! LOL!
3. What is one really, really random thing that most people do not know about you?
Well…I do not like the outdoors! LOL! While I will go out at times, especially family times…but I prefer to stay inside as much as possible!
4. What is your most essential appliance?
Well I hope that it will soon be my beautiful new Kitchen Aid stand mixer…I just have to get my butt in gear and start baking!
5. What is the one word that you absolutely HATE people using?
Would you believe that it is the phrase “Camel Toe” or anything that remotely resembles that phrase! It just grosses me out! LOL!
6. What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
Okay, well this sort of happened to me…a birth story of sorts. When lil man was born and it was time for all of the rest of the stuff to be delivered…the doctor did not have the bag pulled out far enough and it all splatted on the floor…right on hubby’s shoe! If only I had had a camera…his facial expression was priceless! The nurse looked at him apologetically and said, “Oh don’t worry, it happens all of the time.” To which my dear hubby replied, “Uhm…no, I would have to say that is a first for me!”
7. What’s one of your favorite random, funny, or weird questions to ask new people/friends or to get a conversation going?
Oh yeah, no this is not me at all! LOL! I am the quiet chick who hides just behind the crowd. I am horrible in face to face situations!
8. What’s one of the STRANGEST things you’ve ever done?
Well most folks think that this is a bit strange…when I was a kid I would padlock myself into my closet, just because I preferred to be by myself. To make me sound a bit less weird…I did have a small lamp, a stool, radio, 13″ black and white tv, and my atari 2600 to keep myself entertained, oh and whatever book I might have been reading…most likely a Sweet Valley High book!
9. When was the last time you licked a battery to see if it was still working? Did it “shock” your tongue or was it dead? What were your thoughts right before your tongue actually touched it?
LOL! I cannot even remember the last time that I licked a battery and I think that when I did they were generally dead, but I do think that I had to have been zapped at one point or another. LOL! Not sure what I was thinking…which is generally the case!
10. If you had a warning label, what would yours say and why?
Don’t judge a book by it’s cover…I only look young and naive…but the inside is strong.
