I am super excited to be sharing with you a promo and review of the latest book, “Secrets of Whitestone Manor: The Winters Family Series” by an amazing, author and friend, Brittany Jo James!
For all who have followed me over these past couple of year, you will know that I love to read. Reading has been something that I have loved since childhood, when my grandma would take me to our local library, during summer break. We would hop on the city bus, have lunch in our local Central Park area, and stop in to check out books. Grandma would always get after me because of the stacks of books I would check out, telling me that I was going hurt my back carrying so many. I have to say that never stopped me then…and doesn’t stop me now. LOL!

I have to say that Brittany has done it again with another amazing story!
Secrets of Whitestone Manor offers a story full of intrigue, romance, drama, humor, and action packed adventures of the Winters family. Which of course, is just the kind of book that I love! On top of all of that, it is part one of a larger series, which are my favorite type of books to read! I love to be able to get involved in a story line and to keep it going as a series, because I hate to see the stories end!
The characters that she created are amazing starting with Uncle Sebastian, who is the patriarch of the Winters family, a very hard nosed, no nonsense, leader. Then she brings in Orson, the oldest sibling, the protector who seems to have the weight of the world on his very, young shoulders. Followed closely by Grayson, who carried a chip on his shoulder, against the world. Next there is Ellison, the only sister, who would just as soon kick butt, take names later, and true ball of fire. Finally, finishing out with Pierson, the youngest sibling and kind of the peacemaker of the Winters kids. Of course, then there is Lilith Shaw, who is as full of fire and sassy as Ellison.
The family secret that they must keep, in order to protect the innocent from the dangers that lurk around every corner, makes for wonderful edge of your seat adventure. The men in the family are strong and powerful, while allowing the women to have their own equal roles in the action. The sibling rivalry creates a perfect amount of humor, that can only come from siblings. Rounding the story out with a romance between two of the characters that takes its own twists and turns, as any good romance should.
I definitely recommend this book and cannot wait for book two, in the series, to be released later this year! Be sure to click the links above to purchase your own copy of Secrets of Whitestone Manor: The Winters Family Series Book One!
