I am thrilled to be pulling double duty for this week’s #AskAwayFriday!
I am thrilled to be swapping again with Jenessa from Mothering (In Real Life)! Jenessa is a mom to three beautiful kids and wife of 9 years. Jenessa shares her struggles with depression, motherhood, and everyday life, all while being a working mom as a program assistant. She has a diploma in Early Childhood Studies with 15 years of childcare experience. As well as being addicted to junkfood and Pepsi, she also loves romance novels and anything that takes her away from housework! Be sure to pop over for a visit and check out her answers to the questions that I asked her!
I am also excited to be swapping with this week’s co-host and my dear friend Natasha with her very first #AskAwayFriday! Natasha and I have been blogging friends from the very beginning, even hosting on each other’s blog hop’s since we started them. When I found out that she was our co-host, I happily offered to help her get her feet wet with this amazing group! So please welcome her and be sure to stop by her site and read her answers to the questions that I asked of her!

Now on to Jenessa’s questions!
Well, at this point we don’t have any plans. We might go out to dinner at some point, but it will likely be a combo Valentine’s Day / Birthday dinner for the hubby and I (our birthday’s are five days apart).
I am not sure this fell exactly on Valentine’s day, but it was very close, my hubby (we had just started dating at the time) shot darts at a local tavern and a lady was going around with these little home made gifts that she was selling. He bought me a little cupid on a little red pillow, which I still have after 18 years!
Sometimes…it really depends on the family finances. If the money is there, we will generally get some little something for each of the kids…maybe a little stuffed friend and a box of candy. As for hubby and I we generally combine maybe dinner for Valentine’s/Birthday’s.
Oh my, where to begin! LOL!

Summer, definitely! Mostly because I hate the snow and cold! LOL!
I hate to say it, but I don’t really remember anything overly special from this time 10 years ago…but in the summer of 2005 we had moved into our current house and by October of 2005 we signed the papers and made it our own!
Sometimes, I have tried to use prompts, but they don’t always work well for me. My inspiration generally comes from daily life and things that I feel.
Honestly, I love Facebook…mostly because I am the most comfortable with it.
White clothes, without a doubt! LOL! Especially during the winter time! My hubby wears 2 pairs of socks and 3 shirts everyday…and I absolutely hate folding socks!
I flunked my freshman year of PE and had to take a math and English course during the summer before my Senior year to make room for 2 PE classes so I could graduate in January of my Senior year.
And now for Natasha’s questions…
Yes, at least according to my hubby and kids! LOL! I don’t really cook anything fancy, but I make a killer burger!
Watching my kids grow into their own personalities that they will take with them into adulthood. Knowing that D-man will drop all if his brother or sister need him, watching lil man offer love to a child that he has never met, and seeing lil miss offer comfort to those around her.
The schools in our area are just horrible and after watching D-man struggle to get through them with no support from teachers, the hubby and I just decided that we wanted more for the younger ones.
Watching the light bulb go off in their heads when they get it! LOL! And being able to share with them things that they will actually need in the real world.
I love reading and listening to music, those have always been my passion!
Not really…the hubby and I will likely go to dinner at some point, but it will be a combo Valentine’s and Birthday celebration for us both…(his birthday is five days after mine).
The nickname that my dad gave me when I was a little girl was “Lil Chit”, knowing him it was supposed to stand for Lil Shit, but he was keeping it G-rated! LOL! When I was in high school, I had the nickname “Dimples”. Lil Chit has always been my favorite!
Oh I have so many! LOL!

When they get their feeling’s/heart’s hurt, because while I want to protect them from those hurts, I know that they are a part of growing up. I let them know that I am there for them and they can talk to me about anything.
Thank you so much, Jenessa and Natasha for swapping with me this week! Don’t forget to stop by their sites and see how they answered the questions that I asked of them. Also, please take a moment to enjoy all of the other great link up this week and get to know a great bunch of bloggers!
