Welcome to part 2 of my HiFiKiddo series where I will share with you a bit more detail about this site, and I will be focusing on the safety measures that HiFiKiddo’s developers have in place. Safety measures that are designed to keep our children safe as they venture into the online, social media world. Think of it as “Social media with training wheels”!
HiFiKiddo takes the safety of our children very seriously, by following COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act) standards. Many online social media sites are designed for children thirteen and older. Sites such as Facebook require a child to be at least fifteen. HiFiKiddo is designed for all ages, but for children under the age of thirteen parental verification is required. Which gives the parent control over the kind of information that your child can share.
HiFiKiddo offers three pre-defined circles: Core Family, Family, and Friends. As well as giving you the option to choose what information they will be allowed to share within each of the three circles. This means that you can decide whether they will be allowed to share likes, system generated comments, photos, status update, messages, and chat within each of the circles.
As always, parental supervision will remain the best way to protect our children, but HiFiKiddo provides parent’s the opportunity to allow children a safe way to interact with friends and family in our social media world. Parent’s will have peace of mind over their children’s safety and children will have a taste of the freedom that they so desire.
