This week, I am super thrilled to be teaming up with fellow #AskAwayFriday, co-host and friend, Christy from Uplifting Families. She has a wonderful site where she discusses topics that have something to offer all mom’s. Things like pregnancy, children, parenting, product reviews and being a mom! Be sure to stop by and show her a some love and see my questions for her for this Day of Thanks Edition of #AskAwayFriday! Enjoy!

1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving memory growing up?

Well this isn’t really from growing up but, my favorite happened my lil man was only a few weeks old and we took a trip down to Miami to spend the holiday with the hubby’s family. Lil man got to enjoy some major quality time with his grandma and I got to meet the hubby’s brother and his family, which was amazing!

2. What is your favorite dish at Thanksgiving?

My mom’s Light Cream Cheesecake aka Pink Fluffy Stuff!

3. Do you plan on cooking, going to a relatives house, or dining out this year for Thanksgiving?

I will be doing the cooking, but it will be for just the hubby and I and lil man and lil miss. We will be having cheeseburgers, fried potatoes, brown sugar glazed carrots, brussel sprouts, and pink fluffy stuff.

4. Do you plan on watching the Thanksgiving Day parade? If so, what is your favorite float based upon previous years?

Absolutely! LOL! However, I miss the parades of old…when they actually showed the floats and balloons. I don’t like them so much anymore, because there are too many Broadway acts and interviews. My favorite balloons are the ones that I remember from childhood like the Smurfs or Underdog!

5. Does your family put up Christmas decorations before or after Thanksgiving?

We generally do it after Thanksgiving, maybe the day after or at least by the first week of December.

6. Do you plan on braving the crowds on Black Friday or waiting to do your shopping on Cyber Monday?

No way! I don’t leave my house for Black Friday! I might, if money permits, hit the Cyber Monday.

7. Thanksgiving Day is about giving thanks, looking back over the past year what are your top 3 things that you are thankful for this year?

I am thankful most of all for…
1. My kids
My babies
2. My hubby
Dad n me Indy zoo
3. And having the opportunity to be a SAHM.

8. Have your kids already started making their Christmas wish list or do they browse the ads on Thanksgiving day so that they can make a list?

Honestly, none of the above. They know that Christmas will be extremely small this year, so they don’t really bother with a list.

9. What is your favorite Christmas Tradition?

Reading “Twas the Night Before Christmas” on Christmas Eve…and of course baking cookies!

10. This or that: Hot Cocoa or Apple Cider?

Oh Hot Cocoa with whipped cream! Yummy!

That’s all for me this week! A gracious thank you to Christy from Uplifting Families for swapping with me this week! Don’t forget to stop on over and show Christy some love and check out my questions for her.
