This week, I am super excited to be swapping with Jill from The Singapore Writing Homemaker! Jill is a wife and mom to four and a full time homemaker. She loves all things that are beautiful and shares those beautiful parts of life through her writing.

AAF 30 Jill

1. From your numerous blog hops and linkups, you definitely look like someone who loves to mingle and make friends. What kind of characteristics would you look for in a friend?

Honesty is probably the biggest requirement that I have for a friend.

2. How would you describe yourself to someone in three words?

Honest, weird, and caring…

3. Out Of the three blog hops which you host, which one means the most to you? Askaway Friday, Turn It Up Tuesdays or This Momma Meandering Mondays? Tell us one reason.

Well, while I love Meandering Mondays, because it was my creation. I kind of think that #AskAwayFriday is my absolute favorite, because of the amazing friends that I have made through it.

4. Is hosting in real life any similar or different to those on your blog? Name one difference and one similarity.

Honestly, in my real life, I really don’t host anything. I am extremely shy in person and the anxieties are generally more than I want to deal with.

5. Your DIY recipes and crafts look fun to make and you seem particularly specialised in sharing desserts. Who would you credit this creative talent to?

My mom was a very active baker. The holidays were the best and full of all sorts of goodies.

6. Which of your children have creative traits/interests closest to you?

Honestly, none of them. LOL! My lil miss is probably the most artistic, a trait that she gets from her grandma on her dad’s side. She loves to draw on her computer. D-man is my book and music junkie. As for lil man, his talent is helping. He loves to volunteer and help others.

7. Being a busy mum, if you could travel to one place to rest and relax, where would that be?

While I would normally choose Scotland as a dream place to go…with cold weather already entering my area of the states, I am going to go with someplace tropical, warm and beachy!

8. I notice that you homeschool your children, give us 2 reasons why you choose to do that.

The public schools in my area are horrible, from poor education to bad attitudes.

9. In your opinion, list 1 advantage and 1 disadvantage of homeschooling.

An advantage would be that I can control what they learn and help when they are having problems. A disadvantage would be motivation, which can be a headache at times.

10. Were you also homeschool when you are young? If so, does it make it easier to homeschool your own children? If not, what is the biggest challenge of homeschooling your children?

No I went to public school, as did my oldest son. I suppose a challenge would be making sure that I am doing the best for them.
