Well this week has been chaos, as usual. Time spent visiting with my oldest, book reviews, site re-design, homeschooling…with a reluctant little girl, working on my book, and all around family stuff left me without a partner for another week. But I found a solution, by using this awesome internet and found a few sites that offered up random questions…so here we go with #AskAwayFriday Hodge Podge Part Deux!
1. What is the sickest you have ever been?
When I was four weeks pregnant, with lil man, D-man came home with the chicken pox! Well…I had never had the chicken pox and I got them. I had to go to the doctor and they tried to vaccinate me before I got them, but it did not work. I managed to come down with a killer case, covered head to toe and running a 103 to 104 fever…on top of slight morning sickness! I was absolutely miserable!
2. University or life experience, which do you feel best prepares you for life?
I truly believe in life experience. I only have a high school diploma, which means that everything that I know, I have taught to myself. Some of it was learned when I worked and some of it has been learned in the last couple of years through my blogging adventure. I am also one of those people who believes that we never stop learning.
3. What is your biggest success up until now?
My kids, absolutely! If the two younger ones end up like D-man…hard working, honest, generous, happy…all of those things that any mom wants for their kids, then I will be beyond thrilled and my legacy will be complete.
4. How would you like to retire?
I would love to have a motorhome, and simply travel around the states, staying at campsites most of the time and a hotel on occasion.
5. To what would you like to devote more time?
My book and my blog…I have gotten roughly three chapters done on my book…and have been working the past few days on doing a bit of de-cluttering on the site.
6. If you could do anything you wanted, and money was no object, what would you be doing?
Please refer to number 4! LOL! The hubby and I often talk about what we would do if we won the Publisher’s Clearing House…pay off our house…fix it up completely (a whole remodel) so that D-man could move in, buy a big motorhome and pack up the younguns and head for where ever! Find some historical sites, visit with some family, Disney World, and so much more!
7. Have you ever been on TV?
I did a commercial once, when I worked at our local television station. It was for a local bath remodeling company.
8. Have you ever been in a newspaper?
Yes, when I was in the 2nd grade, our local paper did a story about some kids making hand puppets and I was one of the kids that they mentioned and used our pic.
9. What would be your dream sandwich?
Oh a lovely creation of ham, bacon, roast beef, turkey, colby cheese, cheddar cheese, on a whole wheat deli roll. Yummy! Now I want one!
10. What do you have on your fridge door?
