Are You Kidding

Are You Kidding Me? By Stacey Gustafson

I am thrilled to be taking part in another amazing book hosting event, for a wonderful new book entitled, “Are You Kidding Me? My Life With an Extremely Loud Family, Bathroom Calamities, and Crazy Relatives” by Stacey Gustafson. I knew that this one had to be amazing, I mean, the author and I share the same name…and it is spelled the same, too! LOL! But all kidding aside, “Are You Kidding Me” is definitely a phrase for the frazzled mom dictionary and surely used across the globe in one form or another.

“Are You Kidding Me? My Life With an Extremely Loud Family, Bathroom Calamities, and Crazy Relatives” by Stacey Gustafson covers just what the title claims!

Here is a brief synopsis…

Hop into your minivan and get ready to cruise through the crazies of Suburbia! Humorist Stacey Gustafson makes an entertaining tour guide in Are You Kidding Me?, a brash, voyeuristic peek inside the topsy-turvy world of suburban motherhood, midlife madness, and all points in between. If you’ve ever called SWAT on a neighbor, faked a heart attack in church, or pulled your hair out while questioning the sanity of your family, Stacey’s tongue-in-cheek brand of humor will resonate with you. Enjoy the ride and don’t forget to fasten your seat belt.

As for my personal opinion…this book was completely hilarious! The giggling started in the first chapter and continued to the very end. By offering readers a glimpse into the daily chaos that comes with children, husbands, pets, and families, you will understand that you are not alone in the chaos. From the battles that we go through with Spanx to the hurdles that we jump through to just find some quality time for ourselves, allow room for much laughter to ensue. As many parents would agree, laughter is a must to preserve what sanity we might be left with!

Stacey offered stories of humorous tales blossoming from parent/teacher conferences, teaching kids to drive, bra shopping, going off to college, the things that only our husbands can do, and the insanities that can only come from the relatives. With her tongue in check style of humor, you will feel like giving a high five and a glass of wine, and joining in the fun of trading “war” stories. I will honestly say, that I don’t think I could ever pick an absolute favorite chapter of the book, but I might be able to give you one of my faves. Which would have to be the chapter titled, “Going Commando”…and all I will add is that it led to my own hilarious prior battles with the infamous body shaper’s/Spanx.

This is an absolutely hilarious and uplifting gift for the mother in your life, she will appreciate and thank you for giving the gift of laughter.
