This week, I found myself without a partner and so I went to our amazing #AskAwayFriday gang for some crowd sourced questions for another edition of They Asked and I Answered Part 2!

They Asked...

They Asked…

Asked by Echo from The Domain of the Mad Mommy…

1. What is your favorite kind of Firework?

The loud and colorful kind that lights up the night sky! These photos were taken tonight at a local fireworks display.

2. What is your favorite thing to eat on July 4th?

This year we will be having our usual menu…hot dogs roasted over an open fire, homemade potato salad, s’mores, roasted glazed donuts and marshmallows.

Asked by Christy from Sweet and Savoring…

3. Tell me about the last great sandwich (or lunch!) you just ate.

Well my favorite would be roast beef and ham on a wheat roll, with several slices of colby cheese.

4. Do you have a piece of jewelry that is particularly meaningful to you? What’s the story behind it?

Yes, I do…I actually have two…

One is of course my wedding ring…which I bought the amethyst stone for $20, on the cruise that I won. It happens to be both the hubby and I’s birthstone.

The other is an aquamarine ring that my uncle gave to me, and it had once belonged to my great grandmother.

Asked by Rabia from The Lieber Family…

5. How many shoes are in your closet and how many of them do you wear regularly?

I actually own 26 pairs of shoes, but I only wear 1 pair of flip flops in the summer and one of the pairs of boots in the winter…with a pair of tennis shoes thrown in for rare occasions. But I do have a pair of sandals that I wear out to the garden and a pair of sneakers to mow in.

6. What was your first job? What did you learn from it?

My first job was one that I got through high school at a local factory that made water pipe parts. I did mostly data entry work, but it only lasted a few months until I graduated from high school. I learned what it was really like to be in the work force with adults. It really was a great experience.

Asked by Tia from Becomin Neurotic…

7. What is your favorite flower or plant and why?

While I love roses as much as the next gal, I think that my favorite plant would be the Purple Passion plant. I just love the velvety purple color that spreads across the leaves.

Asked by Penny, a dear friend from my church…

8. What is your favorite way to relax?

I would say that music is my biggest relaxer, and I have one station that I love to listen to on Live365.com called Medieval Mayhem, which plays the kind of music that would have once been heard in Medival castles and played by minstrels. Of course, just about any kind of music is a passion.

Thanks so much to Echo, Rabia, Christy, Tia, and Penny for helping me out with such great questions! Please be sure to stop in and visit all of our other great #AskAwayFriday linkups!
