This week, I am super excited to be swapping questions with the wonderful Rea from Reality Bites. Rea is a momma to an amazingly, adorable, 3 year old, name Reiko. She works outside the home and has been married to her hubby for three years. She and her family live the simple life, in the beautiful Philippines. Rea is one of the amazing, ladies that I have been thrilled to be able to meet, through #AskAwayFriday, and she is generously kind and fun to know. Be sure to stop by her little corner of the web to say hello and check out her answers to the 10 questions that I asked of her!
Now it is time for another amazing Q & A session with Rea’s questions for me…
I have always wanted to be a published, writer of romance novels…which likely stems from my love of reading them and being a hopeless romantic! LOL!
I am not really sure…I mean maybe if the kids were all on their own, maybe…but we are major homebodies, so I am not sure that even that would make a difference! LOL!
I think that if I was super thirsty, then I would have to go with water, even though I really don’t like it at all! 🙂
Gingerbread cake or Spice cake with a cool whip topping…because it is just a little bit of spice and not so sweet to make your teeth hurt! 😉
I think the time that should be devoted to get the most benefit…sometimes it is so hard to stop in and visit others, when day to day life gets in the way. Especially when trying to homeschool, garden, keep up on my own content, comment, clean house, do laundry, fix meals…and then if you have a job, too…it is so hard to find the hours in the day to do it all and invariably something has to give.
Normally I would have chosen a pic of the hubby and I or the kids and I, but I know that you all have seen many of those. So I will choose one that means the world to me! It is a picture of my uncle (my dad’s younger brother) and I that was taken a week before he passed away. When I found out that he had cancer, I wasn’t sure that I would ever be able to see him again. Mostly because, I was taking care of my mom at that time, and of course the kids, so I really wasn’t able to venture too far from home…not to mention that we were barely making ends meet as it was. But thanks to my hubby, who did the driving and a 15 year old D-man who willingly agreed to stay home with my mom and the little ones so that I would be able to make a 4 day trip to go and see my uncle before he passed. He was like a father to me and I wished that he had been. This was taken on the last day that we were there.
Genuine caring and honesty are the two most important things that I look for in a friend.
Honestly no, I have never thought of changing it…I had the name picked out long before I ever even set up my site. Momma comes from the kids, which is what they call me…and ramblings is what I have been told that I do…ramble on and on and on! LOL!
Dis-respectfulness…especially out in public. I see so many kids running wild out and about and my kids just look at me with wide, astonished eyes and say, “Mom, you would kill us!” LOL! Which of course, I wouldn’t really, but they know that there will be consequences for poor behavior.
Number of books that you haven’t finished reading yet – I can really only think of 1 – Little House in the Big Woods…I started reading it to the kids and just never got back to it.
Number of days it usually takes you to finish a book – If I actually have the devoted time to read…1 – 2 days at the most.
Number of times you’ve been out of town with your kids – For real, planned trips 4…D-man and I traveled to South Carolina when he was three, we have had two trips to Miami, Florida, and we took a vacation to Indiana last year.
Number of things on your to-do list today (whether mental or physical list) –
1. Get some weeding done in the garden – managed to get 3 hours in…
2. Heat up leftover spaghetti for dinner – done
3. Do dishes – done
And I also ended up spending 2 1/2 hours push mowing about a 1/2 an acre of our almost 3/4 acre lot.
