This week, I am thrilled to be swapping with the fabulous Tia from Becomin Neurotic! Tia is a wonderful mom to a teen boy, and fiance to a great guy! Becomin Neurotic focuses on what it’s like to live with chronic illness. She is also one of the co-founders of a great organization, offering help and support to those who suffer from and to get the word out about those invisible illnesses called Spoons for Spoonies. Be sure to stop in and offer your support for such a worthwhile cause! Also, don’t forget to stop by Becomin Neurotic and read her answers to the questions that I asked her!
Now on to the Q & A!
I am proud of being able to control what my kids learn and the quality of what they learn. I also love knowing that they are safe. My least favorite thing about homeschooling is getting and keeping them on track, because they are teenagers after all.
None that are current, but I have been told that we have Irish Heritage and rumor has it that my three times great grandfather worked for the Queen’s guard about the time of Queen Victoria. I would love to find the proof that it is true.
You mean I must only pick one favorite?!? LOL! There are so many favorite authors and books that I have, but I will choose one for now…Virginia Henley’s My Dream Lover and it is set in Ireland. I have read it dozens of times.
As for the worst…I would have to go with some of old Harlequin Romance novels, only because they were just a little too mushy for my taste.
When I quit my job in January of 2013, to become a SAHM, I wanted to be able to chronicle my journey with staying at home and homeschooling. I also thought it would be a way to bring in a few dollars to help with the family finances.
I actually grew up with a mom who made everything from scratch, so being in a kitchen is pretty normal to me. My favorite thing to make would be anything sweet! Cakes, cookies, and brownies…oh my! LOL!
I think that their biggest favorite meal that I make is cheeseburgers, that is actually a huge hit with the whole family. Now for something extra it would have to be this recipe that was made by my mom and I have carried on the tradition, because it is such a huge hit…which is a Light Cream Cheesecake otherwise known as “Pink Fluffy Stuff”
There are so many wonderful things about my three…okay maybe I am just a gushing momma! LOL!
D-man, which is my oldest at 20, he is a hard worker and he has always had my back, no matter what the situation.
Lil man, which is my middle one at 14, is very compassionate and loves to make people happy.
Lil miss, which is my baby at 11, she is super loving and loves to draw.
I would love to go out for a nice steak dinner, and then maybe a nice drive. My dream would be for him to take me dancing, but he is not a big one for dancing.
We have three of them…a big, black, cat that we rescued out of a tree, in my neighbor’s yard, named Shadow.
Next would be our little “Amish” Dapple Dachshund that we got from an Amish family, named Pepper.
And finally we have a giant, German Shepherd, that we bought off of an old friend of mine, and his name is Caellum.
My favorite hobbies, at any time, are reading and listening to music. Then of course, there is always blogging and catching up on a bit of television on occasion.
Thank you so much for swapping with me this week, Tia! Please be sure to stop by Tia’s place and read her answers to my quesitons! Now be sure to stop by and visit all of the participants and read the wonderful Q & A’s!
