My swap buddy for the week, sadly fell through…so I hit up all of the lovelies on our #AskAwayFriday Facebook group for some questions and here is what they came up with!

Christy from Sweet and Savoring asked…

1. What’s the last great book you read and what did you love about it?

The last great book that I read was The Mother of All Meltdowns! I loved everything about it! There were so many wonderful stories from some of the most amazing women that I have been able to get to know through this blogging community that I am thrilled to be a part of, all sharing their own personal motherhood meltdown stories.

Rea from Reality Bites asked…

2. How will you describe the color red to a blind man since birth?

Red is like the heat from a fires burning embers.

3. Do you have a long standing question in your mind that hasn’t been answered yet until now? What is it?

I suppose that the thing that most comes to mind is, “How did I become the black sheep of the family?”…because I always tended to help others, got good grades, never got into trouble…not that I was perfect by any means…I could be a brat at times. But, I came to realize a couple of weeks ago, at a family gathering, that I really wasn’t…at least not to my extended family. Let’s just say that for years I suffered from “The sins of the father” and I found out that it was only my mom who did that to me, the rest of the family truly loved me for who I am.

Jhanis from The Vanilla Housewife asked…

4. What’s in your bag? Photo please! And no cleaning.

Haha! This is great and super easy…for the most part I don’t carry one, except on Sunday when we got to church…so here it is…Yes, that is a bag of candy in my bag! LOL! Normally, my cell phone, and shades would be in there, too, but I don’t keep them in there. 🙂

Tamara from Tamara Camera asked…

5. What was your most viewed post ever and why do you think it was so popular?

I think…if I am reading these stats right, it is my Super Easy Granola Bars…

6. What is something people are surprised to learn about you when they meet you?

Well, I am going to guess that people would be surprised to learn that I am extremely shy and have serious anxiety attacks meeting new people…but watch out, because once I feel comfortable…then I never shut up! LOL!

Christy from Uplifting Families asked…

7. If you had to pick just one thing, what is your favorite thing about your Hubby?

Well, I would have to say that my favorite thing about him is that beneath his super macho exterior, he has a true heart of gold, that he only lets those closest to him see.

8. What has been the most rewarding perk you’ve received because of your blog?

I would say that it has truly been the friendships made. Being a SAHM, can sometimes be a bit lonely, but I always feel like the friends are only a comment away.

9. What is something about you that doesn’t come through on your blog – something that you want people who have never met you in person to know?

I don’t think that the level of my shyness comes through on the blog, but I think that I tend to come across as stuck up in person, and I am truly not…so I would ask anyone to give me a chance and you will see that I can be truly warm and caring and extremely chatty!

10. Do you have any summer plans?

Not really, short of trying to tackle the weeds in my garden and maybe a backyard picnic and/or weenie roast. Several months ago I bought some glazed donuts off of the clearance rack at Wal-mart and froze them for campfire cooking. I think that I would also like to add in a few more walks with the family at our local nature park.

Bonus question from my favorite twin…Echo from The Mad Mommy asked…

How does it feel to have a bloggy twin?

It feels amazing! LOL! I am the baby of five, but all were so much older than me, the other girls were 10 and 14 years older, so I always felt like an only child…so it is great to know that I would have had a partner in crime with you twinsy…oh the mischief that we would have gotten into! LOL!

Thank you so much to Christy, Rea, Jhanis, Tamara, Christy, and Echo for giving me all of the amazing questions and letting me be able to participate in the #AskAwayFriday that we all love so much! You guys are great! Now be sure to stop by and visit all of the participants and read the wonderful Q & A’s!
