This week, I have the absolute pleasure of linking up with Lisa from The Golden Spoons! Lisa is a wife and mom to three daughters and she enjoys cooking, organizing, listening to music and so much more. She is also one of the contributors of one of the most amazing books ever, The Mother of all Meltdowns, a book that every mother should read! Be sure to stop by and say hello to Lisa and read her answers to the questions that I asked her, this week!
1. If you could have any superpower, what would you choose and why?
Hyper speed would be cool…then I would be able to get more stuff done in a day!
2. What is your biggest fear?
I think that I am most afraid of losing the close relationship with my kids as they get older. I know that they will start to have their own lives one day and I just want to stay close to them.
3. What made you decide to homeschool your kids?
We had so many reasons that led to our homeschooling adventure…kids and teachers who bullied, poor education, and poor school administration.
4. You say you want to learn to live a frugal lifestyle. What is one money saving tip you would give to others?
I have loved making my own homemade laundry soap and fabric softener, you can read about it here. The current batch has lasted me 6 months and should last for another 4 to 6 more months. I am loving it! Once it runs out, I will be able to better figure out how much it would cost for doing the laundry for a family of 4.
5. What is your “go-to” family dinner?
Cheeseburger and fries are always a family favorite for my clan!
6. Since you are a music junkie, I’ll turn the table and ask you, too! What are the top 5 songs on your playlist right now?
Here is a list of some that I listen to regularly on Youtube…
Celtic Thunder Voyage – “Atmos, Druids, Deus Meus & Dulaman”
Plumb – In my arms
Celtic Thunder Heritage – “A Place in the Choir”
Celtic Thunder VOYAGE II – “Seven Drunken Nights”
Casting Crowns – Jesus, Friend of Sinners
7. I’ve asked this one( or a version of it) before to other AAF partners, but I think it’s fun. I was voted “Most Dependable” in both 8th grade and 12th grade. What superlative do you think your friends would give you today?
Hmm…this is a tough one, since I was never voted anything in school…but I would hope that they would say that I was caring. 🙂
8. Other than blogging, do you have any habits or special talents?
LOL! Well, I am not sure if they are real talents or not, but I love to sing and dance, and read.
9. Tiffany (Mrs. Tee Love Life Laughter) asked me this one and it was fun. Share a word that describes you starting with each of these letters: B, P, R
Well this is what my hubby chose…Beautiful, Personable, and Reliable…I might have gone with Blessed, Positive, and Reliable! LOL!
10. For fun, if you had 24 hours all to yourself and $1000 to spend on anything you wanted, what would you do??
Oh this one is super easy…I would go and get a major massage, then I would go and buy myself a new 32 GB iPod and a ton of iTunes cards and then I would head to a local used book store and go completely hog wild buying books!
