This week, I have the pleasure of swapping with our very own Amber from Bold Fit Mom. Amber is a certified personal fitness trainer and mommy. AAF 4 Amber

Now on to Amber’s questions for me…

1. I’ve been thinking about homeschooling my oldest, but I haven’t completely decided on it yet. What’s your biggest like and dislike of schooling your children at home?

I love homeschooling the two lil ones. I like having control over the information that they learn and being able to help them when they need it. When they were in public school, I was very limited on what I could help them with.

About the only thing that I don’t like is some of the struggle of getting them to stay on track.

2. I am into fitness and healthy eating, but honestly I LOVE sweets!! What’s that one dessert that you can’t live without?

Brownies! That would be my all time go to, especially with powdered sugar on top!

3. You like romance novels. What book or series would you suggest me reading?

4. Do you enjoy cooking? If so, what’s your favorite dish to make?

Yes, I like to cook…sort of. I am not quite the home cook that my mom was. My main go to meal though is cheeseburgers, it is what my family loves above all else. The other big go to meal is goulash…something quick and simple.

5. If you were given $6,000 to go on vacation with just you and your hubby, where would you go?

I would technically say a trip to Scotland, but I am not sure $6,000 would do it. Otherwise, it would be a trip to Massachusetts so we could hit Salem and Situate and then we would probably his some old war sites, then on to North Carolina to visit with the hubby’s older brother and even a trip to the Outer Banks. Maybe we would hit Gatlinburg, Tennessee…since that is where the hubby and I honeymooned. But we would still most likely drag the kids along.

6. Hawaii or Italy?

Wow, this is a hard one! After this past winter I would almost say Hawaii for some sand and sun…I would also love to see some of the old world qualities that Italy would have to offer.

7. Country music or Rock music? Name your favorite band and song.

Oh hard rock all the way, though I can really listen to almost anything. Hmmm…a favorite band and song, now that is really hard! My favorite artist right now is Myles Kennedy and he is the front man for his own band called Alter Bridge and he has done collaborations with Slash…My all time favorite song is one that he did with Slash called Anastasia…

8. What is a piece of parenting advice that you could share with us?

I would say that the best advice I could give would be to love without condition or judgement. When a child feels unloved or judged, it can leave them feeling alone and without a good self esteem.

9. Would you rather wear jeans and a t-shirt or a black dress and heels?

Oh I am definitely a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl!

10. Tell us a funny memory you have of you or your kids.

LOL! This one was easy and one we still laugh about, even now. When lil man was born almost 15 years ago, I had just given birth and the doctor slid the big plastic bag under my underneath to catch the afterbirth. Well the bag missed and the afterbirth hit the floor right next to the hubby’s shoe and splatted his shoe. The doctor looked at the mess on the floor and said, “Oh don’t worry, that happens all the time.” So the hubby looked at his shoe and said, “Um…I would have to say that it is a first for me!” LOL! Those tennis shoes were never the same!

Thank you so much for the amazing questions and the chance to swap, Amber!
