Hooray, hooray, hooray! It is that time again, time for Ask Away Friday!

Question-Mark-pink1

For those of you who have not heard of Ask Away Friday, here is the gist of this amazing opportunity. It is a fabulous way to make new friends, meet and get to know your fellow blogger friends by simply exchanging 10 questions with another blogger and then sharing those posts with your communities. I was invited to join in a couple of weeks ago and have quickly become addicted…for such a shy person, this is an amazing way to get to know people.

AskAwayFriday

This wonderfully awesome opportunity is brought to the bloggy world by the amazing Penny from The Real Housewife of Caroline County and Amber from Bold Fab Mom. Please stop by and check them out, you won’t regret that you did!

Without further ado, let me introduce you to my lovely partner for this week, her name is Anne and she blogs over at Anne’s Blog! On her site she showcases many of her craft projects, among other random thoughts and things. She and her husband own a crafters’ shop that specializes in stencils, vinyl and wood cut outs, rubber stamps, and more. She loves to do all kinds of crafts, and read the stacks of books stored on her Kindle. Roll on over to her site and check out the questions that I posed to her. And best of all enjoy another #AskAwayFriday!

Now for the Q & A!

1) Have you got any family traditions for Christmas?

Nothing major, on Christmas Eve, I bake cookies with the kids to leave out for Santa followed by reading “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. Then on Christmas morning, I bake either cinnamon rolls or my mom’s Sour Cream Breakfast Cake and we watch the parades and open presents. We usually do a light snack type of dinner…cheese, crackers, summer sausage, chips and dips, and whatever sweet treats that I make. The hubby has always said that he doesn’t think that I need to be in the kitchen on that day, too.

2) What is your favourite food and why?

You mean that I can only pick one! LOL! I am not really sure that I can! I love beef, chicken, taters, carrots, and oh corn on the cob, pineapple, doughnuts, cakes, pies, brownies, cookies, and dumplings! Oh who am I kidding…I just love food!

3) How do you celebrate Christmas?

Ours is generally spent as a quiet day at home. This year, will not be much different. The oldest son is off of work and will be by at some point, as will my son from another mother! LOL! I will have leftover breakfast, whatever that might be, so that they will get some, too. The lil ones will be up at the crack of dawn and they will patiently wait till the hubby and I are up, so that they can dig in! The rest of the day will be spent as a lazy day at home, watching parades and such.

4) How many people are there in your immediate family?

6 total…The hubby and I, lil man and lil miss, D-man and Clevis (technically D-man’s best friend, my son from another mother).

5) If you had a day to yourself to do anything, and money was not an issue, what would you do for that day?

That is super easy! I would grab a few of my bestest girl friends, D-man, and lil miss and we would all head for a major spa day, with an amazing lunch!

6) What is your favourite treat or spoil ?

I would say for this one, any kind of chocolate!

7) Do you like reading and what is your favourite sort of book to read?

I love, love, love, reading! My absolute favorite genre to read is historical romance novels.

8) Do you read on an ereader of some sort or Paper books?

I have traditional books coming out of my ears! LOL! I do have a Kindle app on my phone and my computer, but I only have The Bible, Jane Eyre, and Raggedy Andy Stories on it.

9) Where do you see yourself in a couple of years time, doing what?

If I have my way, still a SAHM, making decent money on by blog, my first novel.

10) What is your dream, and are you living it?

Wow, this is a good one! I suppose in many ways yes I am! I have an amazing husband, whose rear end I want to firmly plant my foot in some days. He is extremely rough around the edges, but he has a heart of gold most of the time. Three/four amazing children, that are truly my world.

But I still have many more dreams that I would love to fulfill. Money enough to contribute to my family with some significance. My first or maybe even my second book published. A dream tour of England, Scotland, Wales, The Orkney Islands, and Ireland.
