Ask Away Friday 16!

Well ladies and gentleman it is that time again, time for Ask Away Friday!

For those of you who have not heard of Ask Away Friday, here is the gist of this amazing opportunity. It is a fabulous way to make new friends, meet and get to know your fellow blogging friends by exchanging 10 questions with another blogger and then sharing those posts with your communities. I was invited to join in a couple of weeks ago and have quickly become addicted…for such a shy person, this is an amazing way to get to know people.

This wonderfully awesome opportunity is brought to the bloggy world by the amazing Penny from The Real Housewife of Caroline County and Amber from Bold Fab Mom. Please stop by and check them out, you won’t regret that you did!

This week, I am super thrilled to be teaming up with the absolutely amazing Brittnei from Homemaking with Style. She has been a co-host for This Momma’s Meandering Mondays and I have thoroughly enjoyed following her these last few months. She is a beautifully genuine lady…stop by and read her answers to the questions I put to her.

Here are Brittnei’s 10 questions for me!

1) I know you want to make money blogging. Are you going to keep at it no matter what or is there a point where you would stop because it didn’t seem to be working out as you planned?

I am stubborn, so I think no matter what, I will keep at it. When I got into this, almost a year ago, I knew that it would be something that would not happen overnight. I still have a lot to learn about monetizing, though.

2) Do you like your name? If so, what do you like most about it? If not, what would you change it to?

When I was a kid, no I did not like my name, but now as an adult I can’t say that I really give it much thought. It is who I am.

3) How did you and hubby meet?

LOL! I love to tell people how the hubby and I met…We met when my dad married his mom. Yes we were step-brother and step-sister for a short time…you can read the full story here.

4) I know you love romance novels. Would you love watching them if they were made into movies or are you satisfied with just reading the stories only?

I don’t mind watching them, as long as they stick to the original story, Danielle Steele’s Jewels, was one of my favorites both book and movie…V.C. Andrews’ Flowers in the Attic, was another story that I loved, but the movie was horrible.

5). Do you have a favorite age for your children? (Newborn, toddler, etc.) why that one?

I actually love all of the ages…Babies, because they are so sweet smelling, and new. Toddlers, because they are so new to everything. Children, because they are learning to make their way. Teens, because they are continuing to learn and you can see signs of who they will become. Adults, because of the growth in learning that shows the adults that they are.

6). What do you like the most about homeschooling?

I love knowing that they are safe from bullies and that they are getting a quality education.

7). What do you like the least about homeschooling?

It can be a bit hectic and time consuming.

8) If you had once piece of advice to give me as a mom who plans to homeschool, what would it be?

Do your research, find out about your state laws and decide what educational properties are most important to your family.

9) I know you are into homemade and frugal ways of doing things. What is your favorite DIY or frugal find?

So far it has been my homemade laundry soap, which you can read about here.

10) What are some things you are looking forward to during the holiday season?

Oddly, I am not really a huge fan of this holiday season. The hubby and I neither one have much family left anymore and none in the area. For me it is all about spending time with the kids, making rolls or coffee cake and watching the parades on television.

I want to offer Brittnei from Homemaking with Style for these amazing questions. Please be sure to stop by her site and check out the questions that I gave her.
