My daughter has wanted a Bright Light Pillow, from the moment that she saw them advertised on television. Being 11 years old, she is at the age where she loves all things fluffy and all things that light up. Though she is not overly afraid of the dark, if she has a bad dream a light will help her go back to sleep. This pillow hits both marks for her. She will generally lay and run her hand over the soft, furry, fabric.

I have to say that this pillow is extremely soft and fluffy, almost like a furry velvet. Even though there is a battery pack inside, it is barely felt when you lay on the pillow. I chose the square one for her, since the lights inside came in the most colors. They come in two different styles, a white square or a pink heart. The white square gradually changes colors using all of the colors of the rainbow. The pink heart pulses in red. The lights inside are long lasting LED lights that do not get hot, while the pillow is in use.

The pillows require 3 AAA batteries and it can be shut off from the battery pack when not in use. There is a small zippered compartment on one side, to allow easy access to the battery pack. Once the battery pack is turned on, it is a simple matter of touching the pillow to start the light show. The pillow will stay lit for 15 minutes before it automatically shuts itself off, then with a tap, it comes right back.

It is great for any child who might be afraid of the dark. Also a perfect edition to any sleepover allowing little girls to whisper by the glow of the pillow. The pillow could be taken on road trips, given as gifts, or used as part of your decor. They are actually quite bright, adding a soft glow to the room that it is in. Which is also nice for the mom, allowing enough light to dodge the toys on the floor. Best of all the Bright Light Pillow sells for $19.99, but they are not available in stores. Check out there website for great deal on multiple purchases…and with the holidays quickly approaching, it will easily make your child smile!
