A few days ago I was contacted by someone who was representing a store that would be opening a new location soon, in my area. The store is Ross Dress for Less, and they will be opening 2 new stores, one in Peoria, Illinois and the other in East Peoria, Illinois on Saturday, July 20. As a promotional offer, I was offered a $25 gift card, as well as one to offer to my amazing readers as a giveaway, which will be posted on my blog soon…so keep watching.

Now for the information on the two new store openings…

My task was to pop in to a store and check it out, and then offer my thoughts and maybe a photo or two of any purchases that I made on my visit. I have to say that this opportunity could not have come at a better time! As some of you may know, the family is planning a vacation, and we were sorely in need of summer clothes. So the hubby had the day off, we grabbed lil miss, and headed off to the nearest Ross Dress for Less store.

For those of you that are unaware, as I was, Ross Dress for Less is an amazing store that offers designer and brand name items for the whole family, all at a savings of 20 to 60%! What is even better is that they don’t just carry clothing! They offer just about anything you would need for just about everything. I really can’t wait to go again, maybe this time with a girlfriend, to allow more time to cover all of the items they carry. They also have stores across the United States. Check out this link to find a store near you!

As we pulled up at the store, I realized just how big it was, which was made even better as we entered and realized that there was even room to move around. Some places make it a challenge to get up and down the aisles or around the racks. Not so at this store, I had plenty of room to move around. The store was very clean and well organized, and the staff was all extremely friendly.

Now to the best part…oh my goodness, I could not believe how much merchandise they offered. Really I would say that they had just about anything that you could think of! Besides clothing, they had handbags, home décor, jewelry, luggage, housewares, and best of all shoes! Like the Facebook page and surf through some of the photos. I can just imagine the fun that the bestie and I would have going through the shoes. The store seemed to just go on forever!

I am happy to report that I was able to make some great purchases, and really did not spend a whole lot, either. I bought about fifteen tank tops, some for the lil ones, the hubby and myself, and I didn’t spend more than $6 on any one, some were even less than that! Lil miss picked herself out a very cute pair of shade for $5. I picked up a couple of pairs of goggles for the kids to take to camp, but adult sized ones for $6 a pair. All in all I spent $116 on 19 items before tax. Another trip to the store is definitely in the future, maybe a day of shopping with the bestie!

Over the next few days, as a teaser for the coming giveaway, I will post a few pictures of the items that we bought, while being worn. To give a better idea of how they look.
